About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Finance Associate to join our Finance team in Bengaluru. Reporting directly to the Finance Head, you will own end-to-end accounting and statutory compliance for the group across India and the US. This is an excellent opportunity for a freshly qualified CA who wants to build a strong foundation across core finance operations, taxation, and audit in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

  • Own end-to-end accounting including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Classification, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Drive the general ledger consolidation process and ensure financial integrity at all times.
  • Perform Fixed Asset and Depreciation Accounting on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations — including intercompany (across regions and entities) and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end close activities and ensure books are closed within defined timelines.

Statutory Compliance & Taxation

  • Manage end-to-end GST, TDS, PF, PT, and all other statutory filings within due dates.
  • Perform periodic reconciliations of GST and TDS, including Form 2B and 26AS.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor law requirements (PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external tax consultants and legal advisors for timely compliance.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and proactively flag risk areas.

MIS & Financial Reporting

  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements — P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Prepare MIS reports and management dashboards for Finance Head and leadership reviews.
  • Assist in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting activities.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support business decision-making.

Audit & Controls

  • Coordinate internal and external audits; prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams to educate them on finance processes and ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Manage relationships with banks, vendors, auditors, tax consultants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Support the Finance Head on ad-hoc projects, treasury operations, and special assignments.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) — Mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian GAAP and accounting standards.
  • In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, income tax, and related statutory compliances.
  • Proficiency in Tally Prime; working knowledge of any ERP (SAP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Index-Match, data analysis).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

  • Prior CA articleship or post-qualification experience in a start-up, technology, or multi-entity group company.
  • Exposure to US accounting, IFRS, or cross-border transactions.
  • Familiarity with automation tools or RPA in finance (e.g., Power BI, Zoho Analytics).
  • Experience with payroll processing and HRMS-integrated accounting workflows.
