Senior Business Development Representative — Enterprise Outbound

Marketing
Bangalore
Apply for this job

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid — 3 days/week in office)

Experience: 3–5 years

Motion: Account-based outbound to named enterprise accounts, with a strategic and mentorship layer

Why this role exists

We’re scaling a best-in-class outbound engine, and we need someone who’s already proven they can book meetings that turn into pipeline — and who’s ready to raise the bar for everyone around them. As a Senior BDR, you’ll own the most strategic accounts, pressure-test messaging before it goes team-wide, and mentor newer BDRs on the craft. You’re not just running the playbook anymore — you’re helping write it.

What you’ll own

  • Run high-value outbound, with less hand-holding
  • Own a named-account list of the largest or most complex enterprise targets, requiring deeper research and longer, multi-threaded sequences
  • Design and adapt outbound plays (sequencing, multithreading, personalization) rather than just executing a fixed playbook
  • Book qualified meetings that consistently convert to pipeline — AEs should trust your meetings without needing to double-check them
  • Maintain daily execution rigor at volume: calls, emails, LinkedIn touches, follow-ups — with zero drop-off, even across a heavier and more complex account load

Raise the bar for the team

  • Mentor and coach newer BDRs — review their calls and emails, help them work through objections, and model what “good” looks like
  • Bring your own calls, emails, and edge-case objections to coaching sessions, and contribute to shaping talk tracks and messaging for the wider team
  • Pressure-test new playbooks, sequences, or messaging before they’re rolled out broadly, and give sharp, specific feedback
  • Keep the system clean — and help others do the same
  • Log every activity accurately in the CRM — no shortcuts, no “I’ll do it later”
  • Own sequence and disposition hygiene not just for yourself but flag and fix issues at the team level
  • Proactively flag gaps in data, tooling, or process to the BDM, and often propose the fix, not just the problem

Collaborate cross-functionally, with more ownership

  • Partner closely with Marketing on ABM strategy — not just consuming aircover but giving input on which accounts, content, and campaigns matter most
  • Work with Product Marketing to shape and improve battle cards, persona messaging, and use-case assets based on what you’re hearing on calls
  • Partner with AEs on account strategy as a near-peer — co-own the handoff and the early deal narrative, not just the meeting booking

Must-haves (non-negotiables)

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B outbound (enterprise or mid-market, ACV > $30K preferred)
  • Track record of consistently hitting or exceeding meeting/pipeline targets over multiple quarters
  • Based in Bangalore with a hybrid setup (3 days/week in office)
  • Deep, hands-on experience with sales engagement tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and a CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot)
  • Proven history of personally booking qualified meetings through cold outreach on complex, multi stakeholder enterprise accounts — not just inbound lead follow-up
  • Some experience coaching, mentoring, or informally onboarding junior reps (formal management experience not required)

What we’re looking for (the traits that win here)

  • You’ve earned trust, not just quota: AEs and leadership trust your judgment on account prioritization and messaging
  • You do the reps, and then some: Outbound is still a volume-and-quality game — you don’t flinch at 50+ touches a day, even at this level
  • You’re a sharp account thinker: You read 10-Ks, earnings calls, LinkedIn posts, and news, and you connect the dots into a point of view — not just a personalized subject line
  • You write tight, and you teach it: Your emails are short, relevant, and sound human — and you can explain why an email works to someone who wrote a bad one
  • You’re organized under more complexity: More accounts, more stakeholders, more nuance — nothing falls through the cracks
  • You want more scope: You’re looking for a role where you shape process and mentor others, not just execute a script

Tools you’ll likely work with

Clay, Sales Engagement platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot), intent/signal tools, calling tools, and whatever else helps the team work smarter without turning outreach into spam.
