Wish you all a very happy new year. We have done something interesting for this week’s email. We have attempted to predict what type of data sets and analysis will become crucial this year and relevant for workforce planners and recruiters. Prediction is a tough science. One hundred years ago, British Scientist and Inventor Archibald Montgomery Low made a series of visionary predictions such as radio alarm clocks and personal communication devices, and many of these predictions came true. We do not have that kind of visionary power, but we have very good data in terms of customer queries and the data elements that our customers heavily utilize.
Methodology
This analysis is based on the quantitative assessment of data requests and report downloads facilitated by the Draup platform. The foundational dataset reflects the engagement of Draup customers throughout the 2024 calendar year.
Key Points of Analysis:
- Scope of Analysis: The investigation targets broad thematic areas, encompassing specific subtopics. This approach is designed to synthesize meaningful insights from the amalgamated data.
- X-Axis (Domain Importance Index): This axis represents the Domain Importance Index, which quantifies the relative significance of various categories. Notably, categories deemed less critical have been deliberately excluded from the analysis to refine the focus on more impactful domains.
- Y-Axis (Percentage Change): The Y-axis measures the percentage change in user interactions during the year compared to the previous year. This provides insight into the evolving importance and customer focus on different domains over time.
- Data Source: The analysis utilizes Draup’s Internal Usage Metrics Datasets, which offer a robust foundation for understanding customer engagement patterns.
This four-quadrant approach gives you interesting insights (Here is a representative set of findings)
- Geographic Dynamics: Analyzing local talent availability, emphasizing assessing existing and adjacent talent within current location footprints, has become a top priority. Micro hotspots across geographies is also an important analysis request we received
- Next-Generation Talent Analysis: WFP is pioneering in new analytical domains, notably Enterprise AI Team Composition, Convergence of roles, Human vs. AI Workloads, peer organization ratios, and many other initiatives.
- Skills Inventory: Cataloging available skills among employees is becoming a priority for organizations. (this continues to be the key trend). We are supporting several data exchanges in this regard
- Productivity and AI: There is an increased focus on documenting Gen AI use cases and their subsequent impact on productivity.
- Compensation Trends: While compensation data remains vital, bonus structures analysis also picked up (different from the previous analysis we published)
- Commercial Talent Analysis: Several organizations are attempting to revamp their Commercial talent across industries
- Innovative Skill Building: We received requests to harvest data from academic research institutions and conferences and map to tag specialized design and AI skills. This is a unique approach to tagging new skills and also finding specialized talent for Recruiters
- Bilingual/Trilingual Talent – Companies continued to focus on understanding language talent across EMEA, South East Asia and in the US
- New Models: New types of analysis, like Market Saturation Models and Contagion Effects models, are emerging
- Agentic AI Impact: We have also received several inquiries about the impact of Agentic AI on job profiles and job descriptions. We anticipate this topic will gain even greater significance moving forward.
- Precision Hiring/TA new age KPIs: New age KPIs definitions such as Skill Gap fulfillment rate and other similar metrics are becoming important for TA
- Skills Taxonomy Standardization: Skill standardization involves creating consistent definitions and frameworks for skills across roles and systems, and Draup data has been very useful in this regard for customers
