2023 Draup Customer Engagement Analysis: Insights and Trends

Wish you all a very happy new year.  We have done something interesting for this week’s email.  We wanted to provide the type of analysis that our various customers across WFP and Recruitment have asked us and how that is evolving in the second half of the year vs the first half of the year.

Methodology

This analysis is based on the quantitative assessment of data requests and report downloads facilitated by the Draup platform.  The foundational dataset reflects the engagement of Draup customers throughout the 2023 calendar year.

Key Points of Analysis:
  • Scope of Analysis: The investigation targets broad thematic areas, which encompass an array of specific sub-topics.  This approach is designed to synthesize meaningful insights from the data amalgamated.
  •    
  • X-Axis (Domain Importance Index): This axis represents the Domain Importance Index, which quantifies the relative significance of various categories.  Notably, categories deemed less critical have been deliberately excluded from the analysis to refine the focus on more impactful domains.
  •    
  • Y-Axis (Percentage Change): The Y-axis measures the percentage change in user interactions during the year’s second half compared to the first.  This provides insight into the evolving importance, and customer focus on different domains over time.
  •    
  • Data Source: The analysis utilizes Draup’s Internal Usage Metrics Datasets, which offer a robust foundation for understanding customer engagement patterns.

This four-quadrant approach gives you interesting insights (Here is a representative set of findings)

  1. Next-Generation Talent Analysis: WFP is pioneering in new analytical domains, notably in Next Generation Software Development and AI/ML Talent research.

  3. Geographic Dynamics: Companies are assessing nearshore locations, analyzing wage trends and skillset availability—’nearshore’ varies by region, including LATAM for U.S. companies and EMEA for European firms.

  5. Skills Inventory: Cataloging available skills among employees is becoming a priority for organizations.

  7. Productivity and AI: There is an increased focus on documenting Gen AI use cases and their subsequent impact on productivity.

  9. Compensation Trends: While compensation data remains vital, there’s a noted decline in data requests regarding bonus structures.

  11. Sales Function Focus: The role of Inside Sales is being emphasized for its potential in scalability and achieving operational optimality.

  13. Diversity Focus:  Diversity Analysis of multiple types continues to be important across customers

  15. Innovative Skill Building – We received requests to harvest data from Academic research institutions to tag specialized design and AI skills.  This is a very unique approach to tagging new skills.

  17. TA Efficiency Metrics – Metrics of interest such as supply-demand gap, time to hire, and other measures of TA Efficiency continue to remain critical

  19. Bilingual/Trilingual Talent – Companies continued to focus on understanding language talent across EMEA and in the US
