  • KONE signed an agreement with IBM to improve people’s movement in buildings, advance the speed and safety for elevator maintenance, remote monitoring, and servicing by deploying IBM’s Watson IoT Cloud Platform. 
  • Legrand’s subsidiary Netatmo introduced a smart indoor camera equipped with a motion and occupancy sensor using IoT to trigger the light to switch on when motion has been detected or send users a notification. 
  • Xylem focuses on the Internet of Things to create smart metering applications that allow customers to access detailed product information from any location using a smartphone. 

Organizations are keen on using technologies to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. 

  • Babcock & Wilcox introduced the ClimateBright Decarbonization Technologies platform to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. It also strengthens B&W’s clean energy progress.
  • ATLAS Copco launched Stage V compliant model to the QAC series of containerized generators that allowed operators to cut fuel consumption and enhance performance comply with environmental regulation. 
  • ThyssenKrupp Steel partnered with Equinor, Gas transmission system Operator OGE, to supply blue hydrogen to allow significant CO2 reductions, climate-neutral steel production in the short- and mid-term, and build the basis for potential investment decisions.

  • Salesforce has announced Manufacturing Cloud -the industry-specific product that will align sales and operations to deliver more transparent and predictable business outcomes. 
  • AnyMind Group, a software solution provider, launched AnyFactory – a cloud manufacturing capability, allowing industries to produce various products in a minimum amount of time and better quality. 
  • Google Cloud partnered with Siemens to optimize factory processes and improve productivity on the shop floor. Siemens intends to integrate Google Cloud’s leading data cloud and AI/ML technologies with its factory automation solutions to help manufacturers innovate for the future.
