Mapping employee’s existing skills with emerging skills is crucial for efficient reskilling

Companies should have a clear idea about their employee’s capabilities to enable efficient reskilling. For this, the employers have to master mapping the skills of workers with their future skill requirements.

JP Morgan partnered with MIT to help workers assess their existing skills and map it with emerging skills. The workers were then provided a list of courses they can pursue to gain these new-age skills. Mapping helped the company to easily identify the employees in adjacent roles who could be reskilled into new-age roles and thus design effective reskilling programs.
