Insurers identify personalization path through IoT

Liberty Mutual partnered with Nest, a Google brand to integrate connected smoke alarms to curb the risk of fire in customer homes and decrease their insurance premium as a return. The insurance giant has also announced “Nest safety rewards” program through which customers can choose to share Nest data with the insurer to keep track of fire risks and forecast premiums accordingly.
