Latest Industry Insights from Draup Braindesk

With a slump in auto sales due to COVID-19, the ADAS market also witnessed a setback. But recovery is inevitable with the governmental push towards safety and consumer demand for luxury & comfort.

Market Potential Analysis: China is expected to lead the ADAS market with immense growth potential and improving market readiness.

  • China is leading the ADAS market supported by its active ADAS development and testing initiatives. Despite the slow adoption in China than the EMEA region, China aims for rapid L4/L5 development.

  • Due to stricter deployment norms, NCAP1, and General Safety Regulations in the European region, market apprehensions of ADAS adoption are lower, and thus penetration is higher.

  • The United States lacks a proper ADAS adoption framework and has a loosely structured development framework. Though this structure gives the manufacturers development and testing advantage, it fails to mandate safety for passengers, slowing down the adoption. The adoption is higher in the highway and commercial vehicle segments as compared to the passenger segment.

  • APAC region, excluding China and including Japan, India, South Korea, Vietnam, and Australia, will witness significant ADAS technology advancement and growth. However, infrastructure-related challenges and insufficiencies will slow the deployment.

Autonomous Driving Ecosystem:

The Autonomous Driving value chain consists of multiple stakeholders, from OEMs and part suppliers to technology enablers, platform suppliers, and mobility service companies.

Note: The list of the solution providers may not be exhaustive.
