  • Automated Transcription using AI: 
    Thomson Reuters launched a new video feature that uses AI to provide customers with access to near-instant, time-coded speech-to-text transcripts. The system employs AI technology to provide automatic translations for each transcript into English. 

  • Movie Genre Prediction using AI: 
    21ST Century Fox created a Merlin system by partnering with Google to use the company’s servers and open-source AI framework TensorFlow. The system uses AI /ML and big data to experiment with movie attendance prediction and recommendation systems. 

  • Box-office Performance Prediction using AI: 
    Warner Music partners with Cinelytic for its AI-driven platform that uses predictive tools and collated data to work out optimum casting, distribution, and release date and predict box office hits. 

  • Facts Cross-Checking using AI: 
    Facebook and Thomson Reuters launched a new fact-checking initiative to identify misinformation on social media. The newly created fact-checking unit at Reuters verify content posted on Facebook & Instagram and identify where media is false or misleading. 

  • Character Customization using AI: 
    Pearl Abyss launched the free-to-play open-world action MMORPG, Black Desert Mobile. Pearl Abyss’s proprietary engine features action-packed combat, a deep character customization system, and high graphical fidelity.  

  • Facial Recognition Check-In in Casinos: 
    Penn National Games that acquired Pinnacle Entertainment, collect personally identifiable information that includes biometric data such as digital images, facial recognition data, and other biometric information using document identification scanners.
